On February 20, 1959, Canada’s revolutionary Avro Arrow program was abruptly cancelled. Thousands of workers lost more than their jobs—they lost a shared vision of what Canada could become.MY ARROW tells the human story behind that day: the people who built Canada’s most iconic aircraft, the families changed forever, and the brilliant minds who carried their knowledge into NASA and the American aerospace industry.

Our mission is to preserve the voices of the people behind the Avro Arrow before they are lost—and to reveal how their ingenuity helped shape aerospace history on both sides of the border.This is not simply the story of an aircraft. It is a story of ambition, loss, resilience and legacy. The Arrow was cancelled. Their stories should not be.
THE TEAM
MY ARROW is being created by producers Jonathan Neville and Brendan Carmody and Aura Arias, spearheading the project alongside Byron Martin and director Amy Miller, in collaboration with the Canadian Air & Space Conservancy—home of the full-scale Avro Arrow replica featured in the film.Together, the team is documenting the memories of former A.V. Roe employees, their families and the experts working to preserve the Arrow’s extraordinary legacy.

The generation that lived the Arrow story is disappearing, and with them are memories that cannot be recreated. There is an urgent responsibility to record their voices while we still can.At a time when Canada is again asking what it means to build, innovate and compete on the world stage, the Arrow feels more relevant than ever. Its cancellation reshaped thousands of Canadian lives, while its people and their knowledge went on to influence NASA and the American aerospace industry.This is our opportunity to preserve what happened, honour those who lived it and carry their story forward.
